Yes, the S3 API provided is compatible with AWS S3, so that common tools and applications such as Veeam, Rclone, Duplicati, Nextcloud or your own applications can be used without any problems.
Access is via API access data (access key / secret key). Authorizations can be assigned granularly, similar to IAM concepts in AWS S3, in order to control access to buckets and objects in a targeted manner.
All applications with S3 API support can be connected, including backup software, archiving solutions, developer SDKs and tools such as Veeam, Borg, Duplicati, Rclone and Nextcloud.
With the metered tariff, the storage can be scaled without a fixed upper limit. To protect against misuse, initial usage limits apply, which can be adjusted or removed at any time after verification.
Billing is based on peak usage, i.e. the highest storage level used within a billing month. Billing takes place monthly in arrears.
There is no minimum contract period. However, if object lock retention is activated, stored data can only be deleted after the selected retention period has expired.
Object Lock protects stored data against deletion or modification for a defined period of time (Write-Once-Read-Many). The function is optional and must be activated when creating a bucket.
Object Lock itself is available free of charge. However, the activated retention period means that additional data can be stored, as objects cannot be deleted during retention. Only the storage space actually used is billed.
The data is stored in European data centers. Processing is GDPR-compliant and not subject to the US CLOUD Act.
Yes, S3 object storage is ideal for backups, long-term archiving, media content, business-critical data and disaster recovery scenarios.
Usage limits & security
Yes, initial usage limits apply to new customers to protect against misuse and unforeseeable costs.
The limits serve the security of all customers and prevent unintentional or improper use, especially for newly created accounts.
If the stored usage limit is exceeded, access to the storage can be temporarily restricted. Once the limit has been released or adjusted, the service is available again without restriction.
Yes, usage limits can be increased or completely removed at any time by our support team or after successful verification.
No. Higher or unlimited usage limits can be set up for verified private customers and business customers.
No. Usage limits are for security purposes only and have no influence on the contractually agreed prices.
With fixed storage packages, the booked storage quota is fully available to you. It is not possible to exceed the booked package.
In the case of usage-based billing (metered/peak), billing takes place monthly in arrears on the basis of the highest storage level used in the respective billing period.
